Labor Day Weekend

Things have been a little slow around the ranch. The weather has been nice so we have spent a lot of time outside. Thomas is exploring, running really fast, finding turtles, mud puddles and generally being a little boy. He especially likes to go the refrigerator in the garage and ask for a juicy or Gato. He now insist on wearing his boots with everything. He has also been excited about the hay that has been baled. He and Bob have been moving them with the tractor. Smart (the horse) continues to be a joy. Bob has been helping the neighbor pen cattle and has been really enjoying that. Smart is a "nice" horse. Thomas also likes to ride him. Labor Day weekend (also my birthday) Carrie, Adam, Cody, Mady and my mom came out for a cook out and the kids got to ride Smart. Cody was especially excited when he got to lead him back to the pen. Papa and Nana Al came out on Monday. We went to the bottom (where the pecan trees and river are) on the 4 wheelers. Thomas was asleep before we hit the 2nd gate. He is still asking about Papa and wondering where he went.

Thomas climbed upon the tractor all by himself and was ready to move hay.

Thomas and Bob on Smart. Notice the boots with the shorts--it has to be a fashion statement.
